But a couple of months ago I decided to join my friends and go to Malangaan Cave in San Rafael, Bulacan and Anvaya Cove in Morong, Bataan. It was an amazing experience and I'm glad I didn't let my lazy side get the best of me.
Malangaan Cave was stunning and very instagrammable. My Instagram-addicted self was indeed very happy. I wanted to immortalize every second of that trip. Despite my earlier worries about that kind of adventure, I had a lot of fun. Being with friends, of course, made everything easier. We joked around, took a lot of photos, and explored the area together. I didn't feel out of place at all, which was quite surprising since I had never gone spelunking before then.
I'm not gonna lie and tell you that excursion changed who I am. I'm never going to be an avid hiker (although I do want to try hiking a mountain at least once because I'm sure the view will be worth it) and I'm never going to love the outdoors as much as other people do (I personally have a few friends who hike a lot and go to the beach every weekend and I look up to them, yet I know it's never going to be my kind of lifestyle), but I've come to realize that spending a day or two away from the city, the noise, the urban clutter is vital.
I'm not sure when my next outdoor adventure will be, but I have a feeling it's going to be another unforgettable one.
