LaBoracay 2015

Whenever I told people I had never been to Boracay, they couldn’t believe me. Apparently I have a “Boracay vibe”, whatever that means (okay, fine; it’s just that I used to go to parties a lot and I often go out to drink with friends, so I don’t blame them for doubting me upon my revelation HAHA).
LaBoracay is the ultimate party celebration in the island during the Labor Day week. Since I work for an events agency, I was sent to Boracay from April 30 to May 5 to help with a few Epic events.

April 30: My flight was in the afternoon, but I had to leave for the airport in the morning because I was Rebecca & Fiona’s road manager for the day. I met them around lunch time and brought them to a nearby hotel, where they stayed for a few hours to rest before our afternoon flight to Kalibo. Both of them were really nice despite being tired from travelling for more than 30 hours. We got to the island at around 10pm. Instead of resting, I looked for my other office mates and enjoyed my first night in Boracay.

May 1: After 3 or 4 hours of sleep, I had to get ready for my first day of work. I only had a meeting in the afternoon before the #FOXSONOFTHEBEACH party at Epic, so I was actually able to meet up with friends and enjoy the Epic happy hour. Rebecca & Fiona were the international DJs for the night. After working, I was free to party with my office mates.

It was a pretty long and hectic weekend, but I was glad to have been able to watch Sander van Doorn and Knife Party live. I was also able to squeeze in a lunch date with friends at Two Seasons, where I had the best four cheese pizza and oyster sisig.

I went back to Two Seasons for late lunch and spent the night partying at Epic. My last night in Boracay was spent with some of the people I worked with and I definitely had a blast.

That was quite a Boracay trip! I was working most of the time, but I still had a great time. I’m planning to go back though. No work the second time around, so that I can enjoy my stay with no worries.
