Before reading a brief description of each of the photos above, you might wanna check out the part 1 of this post if you haven’t yet. :)
- First time to dye my hair. It was a drastic change! But after twenty years of having black hair I really felt it was the right time to finally dye it.
- Epic Sinulog 2013! I will be missing it this year, but that’s all right because I have a lot to look forward to anyway.
- Laneway Festival + Big Night Out (Band of Horses, Vampire Weekend, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs) in Singapore. Laneway was amazing! I’ve grown to love so many bands because of it and I’m so glad I’ll catch it this year, as well. As for BNO, we actually left after Vampire Weekend and had to miss Yeah Yeah Yeahs because we had to catch our flight back home, but it was still perfect nonetheless. Seeing Vampire Weekend live was EPIC!
- Major sunburn. Didn’t expect it to be scorching hot on Laneway day and we were under the sun for more than eight hours. Would you believe if I told you that I still have a sunburn line from that day? Haha. It’s been almost a year… But, oh well!
- Loved my practicum! Two months of shooting and editing videos. More memories to cherish!
- Two terms of working on our thesis. Grateful for my thesis mates and all the people who have helped and worked with us. Shooting from morning till four am was incredibly tiring, but definitely worth it!
- Graduating Cum Laude is my best achievement. It is especially for my mum who has supported me all throughout my college life.
- Finding a job that I actually like and meeting these two ladies was pure luck. I’m really thankful for all the blessings!
- The real grand reunion. Hadn’t seen my high school barkada in more than a year and it was so great to be with them again before the year ended.
Allow me to end this post with a quote by Neil Gaiman:
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something. So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it. Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”Do check out Brenda’s blog link-up and share your best 2013 memories, too! :)
