Karpos’ first meet and greet contest was a few weeks ago, but I wasn’t chosen as one of the ten winners. I was so sad, but couldn’t really do anything about it. All I could do was be happy for my two friends, Jenica and Leica, who won with their amazing entries. When Karpos announced they would have other meet and greet contests, I didn’t want to get my hopes up…
Well, that was until Jenica texted me and told me about Karpos’ new contest. I had about one week left to work on another creative shot and I actually felt like I didn’t want to join anymore because I was too scared to be disappointed. And I was out of ideas, too! But the deadline drew nearer and I guess it was fortunate that I was both with Jenica and Leica last Friday because, as we talked about it, I decided that it would be best to try again (and do it fast since I just had one day left). At least I would know that I gave it my best shot.
So last Saturday, I went to Leica’s place armed with different materials for the creative shot I needed to post on Instagram. Leica helped me cut out the letters for the phrase, “Phoenix is the real thing” and take shots of the final ensemble. I was so glad I brought my colored films because we basically started from there. I also have to thank Jenica for lending me her Phoenix records, which I used as props.
I am just really glad these two friends of mine helped me. We’re gonna watch the concert together and now we’re also gonna be meeting Phoenix together!!!! I am so stoked!!!
2014 IS LOOKING GREAT! :)
