A few weeks ago an anon asked me to post about books I like and I will some time soon.
This particular post is more of a list of books that I am currently reading and books that are next in line. I’m the type of person who prefers to read different books at the same time because when I’m reading too serious a book, instead of stopping to read altogether, I just read a lighter one.
I started reading ever since I could remember. The photo above is a picture of some of my books in my place, but I have around 500 books in our place back in Milan (all those books are in Italian and most of them are for tweens and teens). I love reading. No. Let me try again. I LOVE, absolutely LOVE reading. So it does surprise me a bit whenever I meet someone who doesn’t love reading as much as I do. Reading has given me such happiness through the years and it is truly something I shall love and deeply cherish forever. Might be cheesy, but I know a lot of people out there know what I’m talking about. Anyway, here below is my list:

Might be cheesy, but I know a lot of people out there know what I’m talking about. Anyway, here below is my list:
- Attachments by Rainbow Rowell - I started reading this last night. I enjoyed both Fangirl and Eleanor and Park, so I hope this will be a good read as well.
- This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald - I chanced upon one striking quote on Twitter more than a year ago and it stuck with me (to the point that I had it tattooed on my back because of its particular significance in my life), so I decided to read the book where it’s from. I started this a couple of days ago.
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - I’ve read this a couple of other times before, but I was still quite young. I read it again so I could appreciate it more and I did. It’s definitely one of my favorites now. I finished this a couple of days ago, but I figured I should include it on this list.
- Dance Dance Dance by Haruki Murakami - I finished reading this book a few days ago, as well. My online Secret Santa gave this to me and I was so happy. I love Murakami’s works, so it was a pleasure to read another one of his novels. His mind is so fascinating and he has become my favorite author (it used to be Agatha Christie because I was so into mystery novels when I was a teenager).
- The Divergent Series by Veronica Roth - I’ve heard good things about this series.
- The Misadventures of Tallulah Casey by Louise Rennison - I loved Rennison’s Confessions of Georgia Nicolson (I also enjoyed the movie Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging). I remember reading the first few books in just one day years and years ago. I had so much fun! I was reminiscing a few days ago, so I decided to look Rennison’s books up and found out about her newest series.
- Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov - I tried reading this book a couple of times before, but never finished it. I definitely want to finish it this time around. Humbert Humbert is such an interesting, albeit sick, character. I watched the 1997 film directed by Adrian Lyne a few years ago and it’s about time that I read the entire book.
