2) Doc Martens 1461 (Cherry Red) - 1461s have been my dream shoes for years and I’m so happy I now own a pair. When I went to Hong Kong last October, I came across a shoe store in MongKok. I immediately asked if they had the 1461s in my shoe size and they did. I tried them on and they looked so beautiful I really couldn’t let go of them anymore. I decided to pay for them (they were on sale!) and wear them already. I was that excited! Besides, I knew it was a good deal because they’re a bit more pricey in the Philippines and, most of the time, they’re not even on stock.
3) Tegan and Sara’s Heartthrob - I didn’t think I would like Tegan and Sara, but the more I listened to their songs the more I realized I was wrong. I’ve been constantly listening to Heartthrob for the last two weeks which makes it officially my favorite album this month. Really quite happy I was able to watch their concert. They were amazing live!
4) Scandal - I have to thank my friend Raymund for giving me a copy of Scandal. I watch so many television series and reality shows in the little free time that I have that I didn’t know if I still had room for another one. Upon watching the first episode I realized that I was gonna make time for it no matter what. I was immediately hooked and quickly finished the first season (there are only seven episodes). I’m now halfway through season 2 and I’m always excited for new developments in the story.
5) Journal by Alunsina Handbound Books - I came across Alunsina thanks to one of my block mates who purchased a journal from them. I had been trying to write about my life in general, specific experiences, intimate feelings, etc. for years, but I always failed along the way. When I first wrote in my Alunsina journal, it really felt quite different. I found the words flowing easily, without hesitation. (Click here for clearer and bigger pictures of my journal.)
6) Whatsapp convos with my mum - My mum lives abroad and one of the ways we communicate with each other is through Whatsapp. Our messages this month have been my favorite because we didn’t fight at all, not one single time. I love my mum very much, but our relationship with one another hasn’t been the easiest. That’s why I’m glad that, despite the distance, we’re finding ways to improve our relationship.
7) Tardis wallpaper - Doctor Who has made such a great impact in my life and seeing the Tardis wallpaper every time I use my laptop makes me really happy.
8) The Day of the Doctor episode - David Tennant is my favorite Doctor. Matt Smith is great, no doubt about it, but Tennant is my first love. I truly loved the way he portrayed the character of the Doctor. He is so charming and he has moved me so many times as the Doctor. I believe Matt Smith has been the perfect choice after him and I adore him as the Doctor too, so seeing them both in The Day of the Doctor was such a joy. I terribly missed Tennant as the Doctor and this episode was just too overwhelming (in a good way!) and incredible. Another goodbye awaits as Peter Capaldi becomes the new Doctor on Christmas day. Matt Smith, you were phenomenal as the Doctor and you shall be missed!
9) Tumblr - I had been on a Tumblr hiatus for months. I don’t know what happened exactly that pushed me, but I decided to come back. At first I was just using my reblog Tumblr, but shortly after, I decided that I wanted to make a new blog. The last platform I used was Blogspot, but my last entry was over a year ago. I needed a fresh start and Tumblr was here to welcome me back. I hope this time I will be able to blog more consistently (although I’m quite sure I will since I went to the trouble of buying a domain name after all).
